Laundry Strikes Again

Dad’s in New Zealand, far from home,
Apartment booked, all set to roam.
But morning comes with a sinking feeling,
Pockets are empty, the truth is revealing.
No jingle, no clink, no keys in sight,
Just a quiet panic in the early light.
