We wrap our existence in grand dreams,
And pass through life almost carelessly,
For we know only how to gaze toward faces.

Years pass over our clever heads,
Chattering endlessly about what is good,
And we bend all that in this world stands proud,
While each of us only loves ourselves.

We run endlessly through iron labyrinths,
With death’s mask upon our face,
And we stride proudly past those who fall,
Unfit even for this life.
